Hey there!

I’m Teal, proud wife and mother of two unbelievably sweet and mischievous boys who love to sleep. They go down easily for naps, are excited about bedtime, and sleep soundly through the night. The healthy sleep habits we have established in our home have made the world’s difference in my family’s overall well-being and happiness. Not to mention, it has strengthened my marital relationship as my husband and I are able to start our days with a quiet cup of coffee and end them with uninterrupted snuggles on the couch. It hasn't always been that way though...

Sleep did not always come easy in my household. In fact it was one of the things I struggled most with during postpartum. In April of 2020, I welcomed my first born into a world filled with uncertainty and fear. It was the peak of the pandemic and the universe had stopped. It was far from the grand entrance and postpartum experience that I had dreamt of for 9 months. There were no visitors, extra sets of hands, or physical support that is so desperately needed during the fourth trimester. I found myself struggling mentally and physically all while trying to navigate the complexities of newfound motherhood. I learned to lean into the world of virtual support; midwives, nurses, lactation consultants, yoga instructors, and postpartum support groups. This virtual community became my village; a village that I had never dreamt of, yet a village that I am forever grateful for.

When I returned to work that September, I was excited to have more of a social life; albeit with masks and distancing. While it was nice to finally be around others, I was constantly exhausted. I would doze off while pumping in my office, forget my work bag at home, and drink more coffee than I’d like to admit. My chronic fatigue began to wear on my marital relationship as I would snap at my husband for the littlest of things. The sleepless nights of feedings and wakings had worn me down and I was struggling to stay afloat. As many of you can relate, I found myself scrolling social media at 2am, searching for an answer to all of my questions. It wasn’t until then that I discovered the incredible world of sleep consulting. A friend of mine had posted a celebratory picture of her daughter who had successfully slept through the night after sleep training. I immediately messaged her and asked, “Where do I sign up?!” In less than two weeks, my son was sleeping through the night and I felt like a whole new person!

It. Was. Life. Changing.

It is no secret that sleep deprivation affects all aspects of our life, especially during the early years of parenthood. After my own postpartum experience, I felt compelled to give back to the community and pay-it-forward to other exhausted families. With over ten years of experience in special education and mental health, I am excited to work with families in a new capacity. I am eager to support your child’s sleep needs and strengthen your family’s overall well-being with an individualized plan that works for you!

Let's get you and your little one sleeping; you deserve it!
